Brief
Create an e-commerce website for a leather shoe company called Letha. The company emphasises that its shoes are handcrafted and that the leather is organic and sustainably made. The target audience is affluent, trendy 20- and 30-somethings.
Process
The process covered design, testing and development. I went for a clean, light design, with boxes that display and highlight the products for easy navigation.
Design
Colours

The colours were meant to feel light, with a hint of leather — hence the light brown and brown.
Prototype

I started by prototyping the site in Adobe XD, aiming for clean without becoming boring. I designed eight pages with seven unique layouts. Icons came from Font Awesome.
Development

I used Bootstrap 4 for the layout. It makes it easy to get fast results, and I quickly saw that the design was achievable.
On desktop, a modal image displays the product. On mobile, this is replaced with a carousel you can swipe through yourself.
