Brief
Create a new website for Infotech AS. The company wants a site that is informative and appealing, and that attracts both existing and new clients. It should be responsive and easy to use across devices.
Process
I planned, redesigned and developed the new website over three and a half weeks, split into three phases: planning, development and release.
Design
Colours

The target audience is construction workers, so I chose a palette of familiar construction colours. Orange is often seen on trucks and excavators, and grey is a solid colour that gives a feeling of durability and quality.
Icons

The icons were designed using the colours of the palette. They have a flat style for clarity, and the circular shape was meant to echo the tyres you see on a construction site.
Prototype

I prototyped in Adobe XD and kept the final product as close to the design as possible — testing several designs before development makes it easier to land on something visually pleasing.
Development

The project started out with plain Flexbox. At the time I couldn’t make it behave the way I wanted, so I switched to Bootstrap (which is built on Flexbox) and used it for the rest of the project. I learned a lot in a short time, and it gave me a real sense of achievement.
