Brief
Use the components from a design system to create the client’s website, using the client’s text and images. Royalty-free photos and your own graphics are allowed. Libraries and frameworks are allowed, but not for visual support — no Bootstrap.
Process
The process covered creating a design system for HomeFair, sketching the site, and developing it according to the design system.
Design
Colours

The colours give the site a subtle, calm look. When money is involved, people need to trust the website, and the calm blue supports this. The light blue appears first in the navigation and the header image — the blue sky is there to make the user feel calm and happy. The darker blue is used mainly for buttons and parts of the illustrations.
Illustrations
![]()
The illustrations were built with the Humaaans illustration library, composed to match what the client wanted. Parts that weren’t available in the library were drawn in Adobe Illustrator.
Prototype

The prototype was based on the design system, but I ended up using only parts of it, so the prototype and layout evolved throughout the project.
Development

Built with only HTML, CSS and JavaScript — no libraries allowed for the development.
