OVERVIEW

Project scope: 1 week

Project type: School project

Role: Designer

Tasks: Planning, Sketching, Prototyping, Usability Testing

Tools: Paper, Pencil, Adobe XD

healthsown is a health tracking app created during the Prototyping course at my UX studies. This app aims to help users keep track of their health habits, and at the same time give an overview of the users mental health through the daily mood tracker.

healthsown is only a concept!

THE TASK

To get the project and create the platform of Spotten, me and the team had to convince the client that we were the correct company, design and develop a admin dashboard to handle users and transactions, and create the website where end users rent and rent out spots.

GOAL

The goal of Spotten is to simplify the process of finding availabile parkingspots or storage in your own neighbourhood. This is highly valuable in larger cities where apartment buildings are the most common way to live.

DESIGN PROCESS

The tasks for this project were to create a sign up flow, a daily check-in screen, a mood check-in screen, and health habits check list. To do this, I did the following techniques:

  1. Define - User Persona
  2. Ideate - Information architecture, User flow,, Sketches.
  3. Build - Prototype

1. Define

USER PERSONA

A user persona was already created for this project, so all I had to do was create a visualization of this persona. User persona will help me make better design decisions that will satisfy the user's needs.

Stephen is a 35-year-old sales rep who works long hours. He has a long commute to work and often finds that he feels unhappy when he reaches home. He would also like to start eating more healthy food, exercising and drinking more water. Stephen is looking for an app that can help him be more aware of his emotions and relax more easily when he gets home after work. He also would like some visual ways of tracking his exercises.

USER FLOW - SIGN UP

A user flow was then created to understand how a user would navigate through the structure of the sign up. Here I primarily focused on how the user would ultimately set up their healthsown account, and get started with the app.

INITIAL SKETCHES

Before moving to tools for prototyping I started by sketching few designs and see what ideas I can come up with and converted these into digital sketches.

PROTOTYPES

Keeping the user's needs and pain points in mind I can up with my final version of the design and created three prototypes based on different scenarios.
